Overview

LabelMinder is designed with a privacy-first approach. Core OCR and nutrition analysis run on-device.

Information We Collect

• No account registration is required.
• No ad tracking SDKs are used.
• No personal profile data is required for core app use.

Camera and Photos

Camera and photo access are used only for scanning nutrition labels and importing label images.

How Data Is Processed

• OCR and health context generation run locally on your device.
• No runtime LLM endpoint is required for core app functionality.
• Barcode lookups may query public product data providers such as Open Food Facts.

Health Data

When you choose to "Log to Health," LabelMinder writes nutrition data (calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sugar, sodium, fiber, cholesterol, saturated fat) to Apple Health. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Data Storage

Scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can remove scans in-app or delete the app to remove local data.

Data Sharing

No personal data is sold. Data is shared only when you explicitly use iOS share actions.

Children's Privacy

LabelMinder is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
